The setup guide

From AirPods
to awareness.

A few small steps to your first posture session. Start wherever you are.

01 / Open the app

Start on your terms.

Download PostureSense on your iPhone or iPad. On the welcome screen, choose Continue as Guest to get started without an account, or sign in if you want account sync.

Guest sessions, goals, and settings stay on your device.

02 / Get connected

Connect your AirPods.

Wear compatible AirPods and confirm they’re connected to your iPhone or iPad. Open the Monitor screen and wait for the app to receive motion data.

Connection alone does not guarantee motion availability. Follow any permission prompts and check the readiness message before calibration. If data isn’t available, reconnect your AirPods and try again.

03 / Find your baseline

Five seconds for your neutral.

Sit comfortably, relax your shoulders, and look forward. Start calibration and keep still for five seconds while PostureSense records your baseline.

If calibration asks you to try again, settle into a comfortable position and repeat. Recalibrate after changing your seating position or resuming a session that requests it.

04 / Begin a session

Keep your focus. Notice your posture.

After calibration, begin monitoring. The live screen shows your current posture cue and elapsed session time. Make a comfortable adjustment when feedback helps you notice a drift.

If motion data is interrupted, follow the app’s connection or resume guidance. Stop the session when you finish and allow it to save. If saving fails, use the app’s retry action before leaving the session.

05 / Make it yours

Choose how you’re reminded.

In Settings, adjust sensitivity, the initial alert delay, and the repeat alert interval. A longer delay gives you more time before a reminder; a longer interval spaces repeat reminders farther apart.

Allow notifications on your device if you want posture alerts. Delivery depends on permissions and device settings, including Focus modes.

06 / Look back

Give your habit a little direction.

Open History to review completed sessions and posture summaries. Use Goals to set targets that fit your day. Guest progress is saved locally; signing in lets you use account sync.

Your account and data

You choose when to sign in.

You can continue using guest mode or sign in from Settings to sync. For account deletion, use the delete-account action in the signed-in app’s Settings.

If you cannot access the app or need help with a data request, contact support. See the privacy policy for more on storage and your choices.
